About

Owner-operated, and it shows

Mayan Flo Plumbing is Oscar Sosa’s company. When you call, you talk to the person who will be doing the work — not a dispatcher reading from a script, and not a salesperson whose job is to get a technician through your door.

That structure is the reason the standard holds. There is no gap between the person who promises how your house will be treated and the person who walks into it.

Copper rough-in for a custom shower, with the thermostatic valve body set to finished-wall depth and risers secured to blocking. This is the stage that decides whether trim-out goes on in an afternoon or turns into a tile problem.

Where the name comes from

The jaguar and the step-fret in the logo are Mayan. So is the idea behind the name: build things carefully, from good material, so they outlast you. That is a strange thing to say about plumbing, right up until you are the one opening a wall to find out what somebody did behind it thirty years ago.

The other half of the name is the practical half. Flow is the entire job — water going where it should, at the pressure it should, and nowhere it shouldn’t.

What you can expect

Most of the difference between plumbers is not technical skill. It is whether they treat your house like a job site or like somebody’s home.

  • Respect for your home — protection down before the tools come out
  • Clear, professional communication in plain language
  • Showing up prepared, with the right parts and tools on the truck
  • Upfront scope and pricing, approved before work starts
  • Finished surfaces protected and work areas kept contained
  • Quality workmanship and professional-grade materials
  • The repair explained, with the options laid out
  • Cleaning up properly once the work is done
  • Standing behind the workmanship afterwards

On pricing

We are not the cheapest plumber in the valley

And we do not try to be. There is always someone quoting less, and on the kind of work we do the cheapest quote is usually the most expensive outcome — because it is the one that skips diagnosis, uses the cheapest part on the shelf, and leaves before finding out whether the fix held.

What you are paying for is the complete service: knowing what is actually wrong, professional-grade materials, the right tools, permitted work where a permit is required, attention to detail, and a company that comes back if something is not right.

Check us, and check anyone else quoting your job

California requires plumbing contractors to hold a C-36 licence, and the Contractors State License Board publishes every licence status publicly. You can look up ours in about thirty seconds — and you should do the same for every contractor who gives you a quote.
